Current Climate Conditions
Above normal rainfall was observed in the equatorial Africa, parts of Maritime Southeast Asia and a few places of Australia, and the equatorial Americas, during the of March to early May 2013. It has become dry over the Middle East, and deficit in rainfall continued to persist over southwestern US, northern part of Mexico, central region of South America, and also central to northeast Asia. Colder-than-normal conditions have been observed over many parts of Eurasian continent, particularly over Europe and Northeast Asia, parts of North America, and a few parts of South Americas while northern Africa, Western Asia, western China, and the southwestern part of North America experienced warm conditions. Warm conditions also occurred in most of Australian continents.
